About Us
At the Veterinary Medical Center of Independence we believe that regular checkups and vaccinations are an important part of your pets overall good health. We strive to provide the best and most complete care from the day you bring home your new puppy or kitten to caring for the senior pet in your family. Our staff invites you and your pet to visit our facility and enjoy a treat! We understand how important your pet is to your family and we treat them as if they were our own. From our friendly reception staff greeting you when you walk in the door, to our technician and assistants providing you with all of the information you need before leaving, our entire staff is dedicated to make your trip a positive experience for both you and your pet. We strive to provide the best and most complete care from the day you bring home your new puppy or kitten to caring for the senior pet in your family.
We are located off of Hands Pike at Madison Pike (KY-17).
From I-275: Turn right off of the exit on to Madison Pike (KY-17). Follow about 3 miles. Turn left on to Hands Pike. There is a Marathon gas station on the corner. Make an immediate left on to Shopping Center Drive. Make an immediate right into our parking lot. We are the first building on the left.
From Covington: Follow Madison Pike (KY-17) South. Turn left on to Hands Pike. There is a Marathon gas station on the corner. Make an immediate left on to Shopping Center Drive. Make an immediate right into our parking lot. We are the first building on the left.
From Independence: Follow Madison Pike (KY-17) North. Turn right on to Hands Pike. There is a Marathon gas station on the corner. Make an immediate left on to Shopping Center Drive. Make an immediate right into our parking lot. We are the first building on the left.

News and Announcements:
We are pleased to announce Kitten Kindergarten!! The classes are designed for kittens 8 weeks to 7 months old. We will help your kitten discover: the cat carrier is a safe place to be, appropriate places to scratch, easy nail trims, success with the litter box, car rides don't have to be scary, how to stay occupied..without getting into trouble and much more! Classes are $10 for 4 weekly sessions. Classes are held on Wednesdays at 6:05pm starting April 16th. Kittens must be up to date on vaccines and have a current negative stool sample. Please call us to schedule today, classes are filling up fast!
We are proud to support the Dog Walkathon to support Pilot Dogs, Inc. an organization providing service dogs to visually impared people. This year's walkathon is on April 29, 2012. Registration begins at 11am, the walk starts at noon. For more information, please visit www.nkydogwalkathon.com
We now offer Trifexis! This is a once a month tablet for heartworm and flea prevention. We still carry Heartgard and Frontline products. We also offer Assurity flea prevention for cats! Ask us what the best prevention methods for your pet are at your next visit!
Food orders will now be placed twice a month. Please call or email your order by 6pm on the 14th and 30th of each month. Please call prior to running out as shipping times may vary. Thank you!!
